• A stinging, burning or scratchy sensation in your eyes

During a dry eye consultation our Optometrist will do a slit lamp evaluation to assess your tear film and meibomian glands, measure your tear break up time, corneal staining and use a Schirmer test to see whether your eyes are producing enough tears.
You will also complete a questionnaire at each visit which will assist us in evaluating how effective your treatment is.
We use a state of the art diagnostic tool to evaluate your dry eyes. It quickly analyses the following:
• Tear film stability
• Tear break up time
• Meibography (gland analysis)
• Demodex (blepharitis analysis)
• Eye redness levels
• Blinking
• Tear meniscus (tear production levels)
• OSIE (ocular surface inflammatory evaluation)
• OSDI (ocular surface disease index)
Our Optometrists will use the data from this analysis to recommend a dry eye treatment plan that is specific to you.
We are a locally owned optometry practice that is situated throughout the South West with stores in Australind, Dalyellup and Mandurah.
